Using my post high school education, I plan to pursue a career in elementary education.
As an elementary teacher, I hope to fill every day with joy and a love for learning, a love that I hope to pass onto my students. I will be creative, passionate, and learn as much from my students as they will from me. Learning is critical at all ages and I want my students to become lifelong learners. I also hope to teach my students moral values and encourage them to become informed, intelligent, and compassionate learners. I plan to apply a combination of educational theories and my own experiences to my classroom in order to manage my classroom efficiently and effectively. My goal as an elementary teacher will be to be committed to the success of every learner and to create a successful learning environment for all students.

As I expected, working with the children is a delight. The children are joyful, hilarious, and excited to learn. I enjoy each activity as much as they do whether it be storytime, integrated play at their stations, or sitting with them at snacktime. However, I am also learning about the many roles teachers fill in the lives of children. In addition to being an educator, they are also creators, mentors, cheerleaders and much more. Their work makes a difference in the lives of children and in society as a whole as they mold the minds of the future.
