Academic dishonesty has been an issue for many years and has continued to increase since the beginnings of technology. Technology, while showing to be helpful in the classroom, has also caused an increase of academic dishonesty among students. This is more frequent for students of the high school and college level. Cheating by using technology, such as computers and cellphones is proven to be only a temporary solution and will continue to harmfully affect students throughout their academic careers. Some students have turned to cheating as a last resort on a few assignments where other students are cheating simply because their peers are doing it. The internet is constantly in front of students faces and it is almost impossible to avoid as a source of information.
