Introduction
Emotionally Intelligent Leadership is the ability of individuals to recognize their own and other people 's emotions, to discriminate between different feelings and label them appropriately, and to use emotional information to guide thinking and behavior to lead people to success. After filling out and graphing my Emotional Intelligent Leadership line chart I discovered several strengths and weaknesses. There are several ways I plan on doing to improve my scores to better my leadership skills.

Emotional Self-Perception is the first one and is defined as a way to identify your emotions and their impact on your behavior. Having strong Emotional Self-Perception has helped me in many ways. First by making me more aware of my feelings and how I should act if I get in a tough situation or frustrated. Capitalizing on Differences means recognizing our unique identities, perspectives, and experiences are assists, not barriers. Capitalizing on Difference is one of my greatest strengths because I use my experiences and background to get someone to open up and trust me, so I have a better capability to help this someone with anything they need. Another one is Building Teams which means working successfully with others to accomplish a shared goal. I build teams by cultivating a group to come together as one and not separately with each person. Managing Conflict has several approaches to obtaining a verdict. While managing a conflict I always get the story of all the parties involved to piece together what really happened. My parents are divorced, so I 've always had to deal with both of them putting me in the middle of things. Which leaves me to piece out what 's actually true and what 's just being said for me to believe them. Assessing the Environment means being aware of the outside forces and trends that effect other people. If I could be a leader at Methodist University I would like to lead the baseball team. Leading the Methodist baseball team would create great experiences especially with the great name it already holds. I have a high score on the Emotionally Intelligent Leadership Line Chart in healthy self-esteem, inspiring others, coaching others, developing relationships, and analyzing a group. All those attributes would help in leading a team to success. I would create a lead by example type of leadership. There would be a co-captain and several team leaders to foster teamwork, cultivate relationships, and create a winning culture.
Greatest Emotional Intelligent Leadership capacity to develop
My greatest Emotional Intelligent Leadership capacity to develop on will be optimism. Making yourself be optimistic is a change in life style. I will have to be positive and look at the best in a situation. I will need to reframe how I define events. Instead of me dwelling on the bad experiences. I need to. analyze the experience to figure out what good can come of it. Even if a project is deemed a failure, I need to think about what I learned during the process and not dwell on the failure.
