Background of the study

The English language is one of the problems of every student why? First it is not the natural language of the Filipinos, Second, it’s hard to understand but English was the Universal Language that can use to anything. It’s the basic subjects that teach from Elementary, Teachers roles must have a large participation for the students. This is used for Daily lives, Language is our first source of communication and English the main Language in Science and Mathematics to make that material more popular for the students. Naved (2015) 57 million of the Filipino was an English speaker.

English as a second language was designed to enhance the learners.

Using English as a second language of the student is the way to show that the simple person can go with the flow to professional foreign speakers that have a high performance in using the English language. Also, the high percentage of English speakers can increase the rate of the country on English Development.

English is difficult for the students who did not participate in the classroom either they fail on that particular subject the explanation is they need some support from the instructor. In 2012 Philippines was better than India by the highest voice outscoring destination. Even the Philippines perform well in terms of English competency they need to increase more, step up the effort, and upgrade tutoring of English. It was validated since then. The Filipinos have a good performance in the language that’s why students can perform the same.

English Lessons make understandable to the students and let them communicate using the English Language.

The researchers want to find out the factor that affects in using English as a second language and find a way to improve English as a second language.

Statement of the problem

This study aims to determine the factor affecting the student using English as a second language. The purpose of the study was to answer the following questions.

1. What are the factors affecting student using English as a second language?

2. What are the ways to improve English as a second language of the students?
