The USDA Environmental Justice Strategic Plan of 2016-2020 was developed in an effort to provide equitable conditions throughout every community in the United States of America. In addition, the goals 4-6 are goals that were developed to further plan and implement equality in all environmental justice communities. Goal 4 was developed to ensure that the USDA activities do not have disproportionately high and adverse human health impacts on environmental justice communities and resolve environmental justice issues and complaints. This goal is supported by enforcement under the Title VI of the Civil Rights Act. This is especially relevant to those communities receiving federal financial assistance. In addition, the USDA will try to resolve discrimination complaints in regard to the environmental justice communities that are more vulnerable to climate changes in relation to program activities. …show more content…

For example, the first objective will do three things. It will identify, avoid and mitigate any disproportionately high and adverse impacts to environmental justice communities, especially those vulnerable to climate changes as they occur during program activities. The second objective of this goal involves the NEPA and the CERLA and other processes to also identify, avoid and mitigate any disparities on environmental justice communities that are again more vulnerable to climate changes. The third objective is short and precise in its purpose which is to resolve or adjudicate all environmental justice related Title VI complaints. The next objective is also extremely important. It includes environmental justice as a key component of civil rights compliance. The last objective to this goal provides technical support, be it training or assistance on environmental justice to recipients of federal
