Equine management worker is a job that was offered to me on my true colors test, though it wasn’t an equine rehabilitator, this career made me want to look into it. This job seemed pretty interesting to me, because of the basics that it had to being an equine rehabilitator. As long as I can remember I have wanted to work with horses and help them. My main career that I have wanted for some time is to be an equine rehabilitator, which is where I use therapy to help horses. I have seen a horse that couldn’t even move and within about 6 months of hard work, it recovered and is now living its life as a horse. As an equine management worker I can use this career as a stepping stone to my path as an equine rehabilitator.

This college offers many majors/minors that a student can choose from, I personally chose equine management because of the relation it has to this career. Since I am a resident from California, the cost of one year at UC Davis will be $35,361. I will be attending for about 4 years so the total cost will be about $141,444. The fees include tuition, books/supplies, board, transportation, personal expenses, and health insurance. After I graduate from UC Davis, I will work with a vet for a year. Once I am done working with the vet, I will need to take a certification class. Veterinarians diagnose horses that may have an illness or a lameness issues. Also they prescribe the correct medicine for horses, or they treat the horse with whatever they need to become themselves again. The second career that is related to this career is an animal scientist, which involves working with a variety of animals. Also some animal scientist they specialize in equine management.
