Since I was a kid my dad always told me to be the best at whatever I did, it doesn't matter if it was from playing a sport or being a doctor, as long as I was the best at it, then my life will be successful, but sadly the country where I was born didn't give me all the chances to be successful. Everything I saw as a kid was unhappy people and if I stayed in that country my life will be exact as theirs. My dad thought this through and probably chose the best decision of his life, and mine. He started to think about moving to the United States in 1999 when I was born, but because my mom had just graduated from her college, she wanted to exercise her gynecologist career in her country. In August 2011, we traveled to the States just to get information and make sure we did things right. Then later that year we took the decision and in December 2011 we flew to the United States, the country that changed my future. The hardest part about moving to another country is not leaving your family behind, but getting used to the new scenario, where things are completely different and are not what you expected. I first started school in 8th grade, when I was 12 years old, not knowing the language was a really difficult phase for me because I was always harsh to myself because I knew I could do more, but I wasn't. When I started Middle School it wasn't hard because thankfully I found a group of friends that helped me throughout the process of getting good grades. After I passed Middle School and started high school my real challenge started, I knew I needed to learn English as quick as possible to get the best grades possible. I also kept my dreams of playing in the big leagues, which was the main reason why I moved here because my dad knew that if I wanted to get somewhere by playing a sport, I needed to come to the country where sports
