In existence there have been animals tested on for the benefit of humans. Scientist, who perform experiments on animals—mice, rats, dogs, cats, rabbits, and hamsters hurt these living organisms that do not want to be tested on. These living organisms do not have the ability to fight back when scientist experiment on them; however, there are humans who stand up for the way animals are treated when being tested on. In result, animal testing should be banned because testing on animals have misleading results, is very archaic, and finally, highly expensive. Animal testing outcomes have shown failures when procedures are done on these living organisms. Humans and animals do not have the same body structure, causing animals lives to be more durable than humans. According to the The …show more content…
Animals have to be housed, fed and cared for and financial provision needs to be made for the staff to do this in addition to the costs of the research staff themselves. According to Dave Anderson “Animal testing is a big business, worth over 480 billion dollars worth 28% of the world's market”(Anderson). The expenses are proven in the world market holding a large percent in testings done to animals. This can all be changed if testings are done in another way such as using technology.
People may find animal testing to be beneficial in today's society. In the animal cell there is the same structure based sequences in a animal that is in a human. Having the same cells this causes animals to suffer from similar diseases to humans including cancers, TB, the flu and asthma. According to Understanding Animal Research “Modern surgical techniques including hip replacement surgery, kidney transplants, heart transplants and blood transfusions were all perfected in animals.” one can see how animal testing helps surgical procedures happen to help the human
