Also, they noticed the fire detectors in the whole apartment was taken off and hidden. RA Odake asked Marcus Lyons where the fire detectors are and he said that they did not come with the apartment. Sheridan Baker’s essay about writing a thesis simplifies what some deem a difficult task. I learned most theses are too vague. We do not reduce the topic enough. That is why choosing a central idea can take up more time than needed, but Baker explains ways to get the idea quickly and organize it efficiently. I recently learned the importance of narrowing down the topic before researching it.

The definition of justice is “just behavior or treatment”, a synonym would be “fairness” or “equity”. Although this is the definition of justice, these words do not come to mind in many serial killer cases. Some cases, such as the Ted Bundy, Lamar Johnson, and the Zodiac killer, the victims never received equity or fairness due to the hints waisted and unsolved suspects. In the 1970s women were being murdered from college campuses in many states.
Lowrey achieves greater efficacy in delivering her point when she mentions the financial aid award letters. “Non-standardized financial aid award letters might be the biggest problem.... But comparison shopping is difficult when you're weighing apples and oranges.” The colleges turn a simple process into a challenging task by preparing award letters that are vague, deceptive and labyrinthine. All colleges strive to offer some basic information to students, which includes cost of the year in college, financial aid the school provides, costs contributed by a student and the prospective gaps fulfilled through other sources.
While other parts of this critique may be legitimate, it completely writes off the very real problem of declining enrollment at community colleges. In his closing statements Brooks compares two versions of human capitol policies, one designed to help give people access to education, and one designed to help people thrive in education. In writing off the former version, he completely ignores the problem of access. Community members do not have, or more importantly, do not feel that they have the most basic access to higher education. The president’s community college tuition proposal is aimed at making this access available to all.

In 2015, President Obama introduced a new program called American College Promise to help alleviate the prices of community colleges even more. In doing this, “He joined a growing community of thinkers who see the community college as central to solving a wide variety of problems in higher education” (Trainor 1). More and more people are beginning to fully believe that community colleges are the best solution to putting an end to the student debt crisis in America. Additionally, community colleges continue to solve problems for not only their students now, but also in the future.
In early January, President Obama announced his plan to make community college free for all Americans. The president’s bold statement has drawn lots of attention and debate to the concept of free community college. Some states and cities have adopted free community college programs in just the past couple of years, and the president is using those examples to base his own nationwide plan. Conversation on the topic has not died down, Presidential candidates for the 2016 election are also tackling the issue. Supports of free community college believe the educational opportunities would help poor Americans succeed in society, closing the wage gap.

From the mid-90s European Government firms and private and public organizations have pursued a suit, bringing the recruitment of women at the upper levels of companies. The increasing prominence of leaders like Carly Fiorina, Hillary Clinton, and Condoleezza Rice accentuate the development in gender roles over the last half century. Wage Wars Protecting our basic civil rights in the United States is a recognizable value that all citizens want to obey or carry out. Civil rights are rooted on the idea of any citizen not receiving equal or fair treatment compared to the people around them. Although this is true, a major issue in today’s society that I have discovered revolves around the difference in gender equality and the gender wage gap in the workforce. Some people believe that females are not as capable as males causing a flux in the wages paid for the same job, however this is a stereotype that needs to be exterminated.
Gender Equality is the only way forward. What is gender equality? Gender equality is achieved when all genders enjoy the same rights and opportunities across all sectors of society, including economic participation and decision-making, and when the different behaviors, aspirations and needs of women and men are equally valued and favored.
