During the time Orwell was writing the book 1984 technology has drastically changed to high tech. Local police in Long Beach is now using cameras in certain areas to help with crimes and to find people who commit the crimes. Another development that has come in over the years are internet tracking which is dangerous, but the police think otherwise. Is a high technology worth us getting closer to a utopia? Orwell has made his book a big factor of what society is revolving around, but is our world in danger for what is to come in the future?
