Essay On African American Culture

When I put myself in outside shoes I would have to say that there might be people out there that think African American Culture is very strange or uncomfortable. Even within my first sentences might strange because if you go up to an African American person they might get offended if you call them African American some African American's prefer to be called a Black. Some Black people might just want to be called either. You might say what the difference between the two and might be left wondering what you did wrong. When I think about my culture I think it's about explaining history. Sometimes it makes me uncomfortable because I always have to explain to other why things are the way there are. A lot of people say Why is Black people can be proud of being Black but a White person should feel ashamed of being white. I think it more like that fact of being able to be so poor and having nothing is where that saying comes from being to still be happy in the darkest hours come together being black is most of the time a lifestyle.Sometimes, in my opinion, we are not that proud as we say we all we just play it off to society so well and trying to make others see it differently. For example, Black people go our speed their money in stores that other black people or famous people tell to go buy but yet we have no business most of our people are poor with very good designer clothes on While others are trying to understand why do black people spend their last money on shoes and clothes and not invest their money into business. Understanding history of a black culture or person would be more like this don't like to be seen as unequal, uneducated or poor and it's more of a want to be more accepted by rules of what society say you could and shouldn't have as to be happy.
