I really enjoyed reading this book for several reasons. The book portrays overcoming fear, it has adventure,and shows you how to juggle such a busy life. Little miss Scottie-Ann has always been the back seat rider in her parent’s life. Scottie Ann has never been in the spotlight unlike her older more mature sister Dane. Scottie Ann is more about academics whereas Dane is always competing in beauty pageants. The parents time isn’t between the two girls. I can speak from my point of view. I have a younger sister who involved with school activities. I’m slightly different; I have a very busy schedule between working and school I barely have time for myself. I overcame the opinions of others and played to the best of my ability. Just as Scottie-Ann did when she entered the beauty pageant in school and was the third runner up. Performing on stage and Playing a sport in front of people takes a lot of courage especially if you mess up. It will always fall back on you whether it's a sport or performing. Scottie-Ann is very involved in school and she even was accepted into a Yale Program for Russian culture. I admired at such a young age she had the motive to go to school at Yale. However, as a senior next year I will be taking college courses for medical administrative while I'm still in High School. Just like anywhere else there is petty middle/high school drama. In the book Scottie-Ann deals with a group of girls who look down on her because of her sister's reputation. However, what’s high school without drama for anyone?I absolutely loved how each character were their own person. Scottie-Ann and Dane had their own personalities and didn’t try to mimick each other. Both girls excelled in their own way without the help of anyone telling them what to do and how to do
