In fact, in America employees are treated with dignity not as means to an end. There is a broad range of regulations that protect American workers, for instance the Fair Labor Standards Act which regulates wages and hours including minimum wage and overtime compensation. Employment laws and regulations generally are almost non- existent in these countries. Workers are often subject to work place bias or harassment. If Title VII of the Civil Right Act of 1964, or the Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act (ADAAA) were part of the legislation of these countries workers would have been treated with dignity.
