The United States government has faced many changes in the last twenty-five years, some of which are important and some that we do not even realize changed. As the U.S. presidents change, the economic policy at place can change also, and often that tends to be what happens. The changes range from taxes up and through the availability of jobs in our society. Depending on your social class can often depict where you stand in the tax bracket and in the work force. Our government is run in a capitalist manner with small tendencies of socialism, but some countries are run strictly with a socialist manner. Socialism is more of a system where the state that makes it up plans and produces the goods. The United States of America has for long been known as a capitalist country. We thrive on competition in our country and it is what keeps us going. Those who have money and own a lot of assets will see success in our economy. But for those who do not market well and are bad with the capital they have will not succeed and could possibly run their business and its assets into the ground. Although, the United States mainly works under a capitalist society we do have aspects of socialism. I think the biggest example of that in our government at this current time is Obama Care, a health care plan implemented for Americans by our president Barack Obama (Economics of Aging Programs, 2014).
