There are many factors that bring controversy in abortion, like religious, social, cultural, ethnicity etc. According to the research done in 1,024 counties in the 18 states in the United States, it was found that religious membership could be related to teen abortion rates both directly through antiabortion sentiment, and indirectly through the parental involvement laws. In addition, it was found that the mean abortion rates in counties with parental involvement laws are significantly lower than those in counties with no laws, regardless of whether the county is considered higher or lower religiosity rates. Debate on topic religion and abortion has been going on for long time. I think, abortion should be given to teen who are subject to sexual assault pregnancies, or children who will be born with short life spans due to debilitating diseases. For some extend I agree that teen should be religious but their important decision should not be made based on religion because it would be ethically and morally unjust. I think many attitudinal factors play a role in the practice of abortions today as the United States are numb to the ethical issues at large. At the same time, I see teen having the right to do what they want with their bodies, including their own child in the womb. Legally, it is the right of the teen to decide what want to do with their unborn child but their decision should be influenced by any religion or ethical
