Trump and the Pipeline We live in a society that is quickly changing and quickly expanding. Scientists are discovering something new everyday and the once simple society we lived in is now very complex. Furthermore, we are currently adjusting to the presidency of Donald Trump in our society. Trump is very headstrong and unlike anyone we have seen before. With that being said Trump is already making a lot of changes such as the revival of the keystone pipeline which is the main focus of the article I decided to discuss. The New York Times article discusses the pipeline and its debate for many years. Trump does not believe in the environmental issues and the damage we are causing, so he supports the detrimental pipeline. The pipeline is just one of the changes he is making to the environment. Others include the Dakotas and an end to environmental reviews. Trump stated that he was an environmentalist, but he believes the climate change is a hoax created by China. Climate change is a big debate right now and probably will be forever. We saw during one of the movies that there are skeptics to climate change and Trump falls into that category. Trump does not believe it, and the people that have worked so hard to prove it are now being punished for doing their jobs and their research is being thrown away.
