I remember on March 5, 1770, it was a snowy night, 5 lives were lost during the Boston Massacre. Not that many people you may think, however, this is what fueled the start of the American Revolution. This is one cause why the American Revolution was begun, and the reason for the freedom that we have today, and We, the American colonists, should declare ourselves independent from Great Britain to rid ourselves of tyranny, taxes, and sovereignty.
I recall Mercantilism was one causes of the American Revolution because the English passed regulatory laws that only benefit the British. In 1650 the British created a trading system where American colonies provided raw materials to the Britan. The French and Indian War was a dispute between the French and The British in 1754 and 1763. The British gained a notable amount of land as a result of the war. Although the title of the war was not against the French and the Indians, although it mainly consisted of the British and the French. Both sides of the war had American Indian allies. The French allied with the Shawnee, Lenape, Ojibwa, Ottawa, and the Algonquin (Colonial). As the British allied with Iroquois, Catawba, and the Cherokee. At the end of the war which was February 10, 1763, with the signing of the Peace Treaty of Paris. France gave up all of it's hard fought territory. Despite all of the British gains, they also had issues. The war was very expensive, in order to pay for it, they issued to tax us on almost everything like paper, glass, tea, and lead. The British government considered this fair as they were protecting the interests of us. The we, however, felt that they should not be taxed unless they had representation in the British government. This led to bigger problems later
