College athletes are some of the most hardworking People in any workforce or job, yet they do not receive any form of compensation for their efforts. It is about time that college athletes started receiving money for their services. Today we will dive into the reasons why college athletes should get paid. Firstly, college athletes give time and work to there sports without any compensation. They do back breaking physical training, travel for games, and miss a lot of study time. All this hard work should not go to waste, and athletes should be paid for their efforts. Secondly, college sports generate millions of dollars in revenue for universities, but the athletes do not receive any share of the money. The money generated is used to build state-of-the-art facilities, pay coaches, and even fund academic scholarships, but nothing goes to the athletes who make it all possible. However, what people fail to recognize is the large amount of time and dedication these athletes put into their sport. They juggle both training/practice schedules with large amounts of academic coursework.
