College athletes are talented strong and furious men and women trying to make a life but struggle from the difficulties of money and the limit they have to it. College can be a dream or it can be reality but when you face reality you have hard times and tough decisions and one of these are specifically for college athletes. College athletes should be paid because colleges are making money from memorabilia although the athlete is being deprived of their credit on their jersey sales and the struggle they have from food bills. Many athletes have famous numbers like Trace Mcsorley #9 who had 3614 passing yards as a Ncaa athlete playing for Nittany Lions. This college athlete earned his way there and did not make any money at all. In 2010 and 2011 Penn state earned over 4.1 million dollars and not one dollar went to any of the athletes for at least their own bills. Mr. Clowney, a former football player says “They are selling our jerseys with our numbers and making money off of ticket sales, so I think college athletes should get paid." Not only does the athlete need energy for the day like at practice or school but he also needs it to still have his body function at night time. This famous point guard even agrees that something should change. If college athletes do not have enough money to pay for food how do expect to even pay for the daily needs that you take advantage of everyday in your life without even realizing.
