Essay On Why I Want To Be An LPN

Throughout the last year I have been considering different occupations. I have worked as a CNA at St. Paul's Homes for almost three years, so I am fully aware of what a CNA job entails. I have previously worked as a medical assistant in Ohio, however, those jobs can be hard to find. I have watched LPNs hard at work in may environments and talked to a few of them about their positions. Throughout my past work history and research I have found that I enjoy the medical field for all it has to offer. Well, why do I want to be a LPN? I want to be an LPN to fulfill my own dreams and desires to help others. I want to be the compassionate, hopeful, understanding, and kind person that people encounter in their time of need. I want to take the next step in my future and the future of my family by furthering my education and becoming a LPN. The amount of unselfish self fulfillment and joy that is obtained through helping others in there time of need is irreplaceable. In my decision to become a LPN I looked at the job market and the future of this field. There are many job openings near me from home heath care to hospitals and medical facilities. I looked into Mercer County Career Center, Crawford County Career Center, LTI, and Lawrence County Career and Technical Center practical nursing program. Upon researching these schools and much thought I chose Mercer County Career Center. Upon contacting LTI I learned they did not have a practical nursing program start date available. Crawford County and Lawrence County Career Centers both are almost and hour from my home and the tuition is higher. Mercer County Career Center is within twenty minutes of my home. Mercer also has a tuition that is reachable, and would work well with my child care and work
