I am interested in the Nursing profession and I have been interested in this profession since I was an adolescent. In particular, I have attained a strong interest in the career path of a Nurse Practitioner. Embarrassingly, my interest in being a Nurse Practitioner initiated as just a vague rudimentary idea inside my head that was brought upon through constant viewing of the tv shows Scrubs, House and Grey’s Anatomy. My interest did not become profound until my first semester at Merrimack College. I knew that I wanted to be involved in a career that not only helped others but also financially benefited me and my family in the long run. First, aspiring nurse practitioners need to be licensed as an RN before progressing towards the career path. Furthermore, as part of the Advanced Practice Registered Nurses, Nurse Practitioners require a Master of Science in Nursing degree from an accredited program.
