Two World War II era memoirs provide many instances of dehumanization, Farewell to Manzanar by Wakatsuki Houston & Houston (1973), which is about a young Japanese American girl that was put into the Manzanar internment camp, and Night by Elie Wiesel (1958) which follows a Jewish boy through two Nazi concentration camps. Mr.Arbeiter saw first hand the horrific ways jewish citizens were treated. I am Tajrin Sraboni, 12 years old. I am a student in PS/MS194, New York City, for 5 years, but I grow up in Dhaka, Bangladesh. When I was 7 years old 's I moved to the United States, in Castle Hill, New York City with my family. It was so difficult time for me because I had to adjust to New York peoples, change my language and style. And if I don 't come to this country, my life would be hugely different from now.
This summer I went on a mission trip with my church to Cuba for one week. We visited our companion church which is located in Los Arabos, It is four hours away from Havana. While we are in Los Arabos the people of the community were nice enough to let us live in their homes for a week. This was my second year going and it was a lot of fun helping the people and giving back to the community. Los Arabos is the complete opposite of Havana, its more farm land and open greenery while Havana is more touristy.
