Ethical Dilemmas Between Abortion And Euthanasia

Nowadays medical personnel facing many ethical dilemmas. Technology and knowledge made some procedures much easier and possible for people. In my work, I would like to show some PRO’s and CON’s as well my opinion about abortion and euthanasia. In many countries these are legal procedure but still controversial because of its ethical aspect. Some medical staff will not provide this services to patients since they think it’s not right.
According to the Medical Dictionary abortion is: "termination of pregnancy before the fetus is viable. In the medical logic, this term, and the term miscarriage both refer to the termination of pregnancy before the fetus is skilled to survival outside the uterus."(medical-dictionary.thefreedictionary.com)

It can happen that fetus has such serious disorders that death is sure before or shortly after birth. It would be brutal to force women to carry and give a birth to already death fetus or let her look how it is dying on her eyes. Even in the case of other conditions, parents may be unable to care for a disabled child. Other aspect is that the woman has choice and she can control her own body. She can decide if and when she want to have a baby and be able to plan her future. Also, some women who choose abortion don't have enough money for themselves how they would be able to support and raise a child. Statistic shows that 42% of women having abortions are extremely poor. From the biological aspect person-hood begins after a fetus becomes able to survive outside the womb or after birth, not at conception. Embryos and fetuses are dependent beings, and abortion is the termination of a pregnancy, not a baby. And most important we are calculating age of the person from the date of birth not conception.
On the other hand, we have arguments which stay against abortion. The most powerful states that Human life begins at conception and abortion is murder. Opponents also say that fetus is in no real sense “part” of the mother, but is a separate and distinct human being. People that are living with a fatal illness, or that are in a permanent coma, are suffering. This is especially true when you look at the end of their battle. The pain can be devastating, and the only option for these people are to take a lot of drugs and painkillers to help lower the pain even just a little bit. The quality of life is low. Euthanasia gives these people a way to stop theirs and their family’s suffering. Also, person who is in bed all the time and needs help with everything can well that he/she is a big burden for their family. This can be very degrading for a person. They just want to have a choice to die with
