I have grown up a Syracuse University fan attending various sports contests there as I am from the Syracuse area. Last year, the NCAA finished a nearly eight-year investigation into the University’s football and basketball programs. Syracuse University’s violations were all over as it wasn’t in just one field. They had violations that included academic misconduct, drug testing policy infractions, extra benefits to athletes and coaches, and also “impermissible academic assistance and services” (James, 2015). For me, I find this concerning and interesting at the same time. As a woman I hope people would believe me if I came forward with bruises saying I had been abused. But, I do see how a video will stand more strongly than photos or one’s word as words could be exaggerated. I respect the NFL teams for not signing Rice after the terrible thing he did in that elevator. But, I also lose respect for Dallas for signing Hardy and giving him another chance for a mistake he had made. A mistake that is very similar to what Rice
