It might seem like “Everything Will Be Okay”, and “Raymond’s Run” are very different but actually they are very similar. In “Everything Will Be Okay”, a boy named James finds a cat, and sees that it is hurt. So he decides to bring it home. His dad and mom wants him to be like the rest of them, but he wants to be his own person. And towards the end of the story he has to get rid of the cat. However in the story “Raymond’s Run”, a girl named Squeaky has a big job. She is a very good runner but she also has a brother raymond that has a disability and she needs to take care of him. She never lets Raymond have a chance in anything. But in the end, she realizes that Raymond can run so she trains him instead of training herself. This shows that you should think of other people.
In the story “Everything Will Be Okay”, the author teaches the reader to think of other people. For example, when James gets the cat his parents didn’t want it. So then his dad puts the cat into a box for his brother to take away. “Don’t worry I won’t let anything happen to you,” James says to the cat. Then at the end of the story he does not talk to anyone at dinner. However he learns that you have to think of other people. …show more content…

But sometimes that can be a bad thing. It’s good because she loves to run and she also has to take care of her brother so nothing happens to him. But it can be a bad thing because when someone tries to talk to her or ask a question about Raymond, she gets all rude.
