uring the nineteenth century many false beliefs started growing. Two of these beliefs are Evolution and Higher Criticism. Evolution was created by Charles Darwin; he believed that man had evolved from apes and that all species evolved from one animal.
Higher Criticism is the belief that certain books of the Bible were not written by who the
Bible says they are written by. Evolution is wrong for many reasons, one of them is that man could not have evolved from apes. Higher Criticism is wrong because it is not right to call the writers of the Bible liars. When these ideas came to existence many people embraced them and believed them. Because to them these ideas seemed to make sense even though there were many faults in them. What Evolution and …show more content…

They think this happened over the span of millions of years. But Higher criticism is people who search through the Bible to prove that certain things that the Bible says are not true. They claim that Moses couldn’t have written the first five books of the Bible. They say that four different people wrote the
Torah not Moses. Also they say that God did not help write the Bible and that it was written by men only. That is what Evolution and Higher Criticism are.
Evolution and higher criticism are both beliefs that contradict the Bible. Evolution is wrong because man could not have evolved from apes, there may be several similarities between man and apes. But there are way more differences between them that prove man did not evolve from apes. Man’s brain is way different, man has also invented tons of things and can talk. Apes are big hairy creatures that live in trees while man lives in houses or some type of shelter. The preferences for living are way different and man does not look anything like apes. While Higher Criticism is wrong because you are calling tons of people liars without logical proof. How can they say things like

They said if these things were correct then that meant a lot of the
Bible was not true. Lots of the young people started to believe these crazy ideas which caused much disagreement between many people. 1“This realization pitted the church and science against each other in a battle over creation vs. evolution. The church taught the idea that God created the Earth and all inhabitants of it. As Charles Darwin’s theory of evolution contradicted the teachings of the church, it is no surprise that he became an enemy of the church.” After Charles Darwin dared to contradict the Bible many more scientists followed in his footsteps and tried to prove that the Bible was wrong. There will always be people who say that the Bible is not true. But in our hearts we can know that God created man and that he did not evolve from apes.
What Evolution and Higher Criticism are, why they are wrong, and what effect they had on society will be said. Evolutionists claim that man evolved from apes over the span of millions of years. Higher Criticism claims that certain things in the Bible
