What is evolution and is it all about facts and/or truth? The theory of evolution holds that all living organisms have a common ancestor. The diversity of living organisms is staggering putting the question the belief that all living things have a common origin. On the other hand, the similarities are so amazing and compelling such that scientists worried not about evidences but about the different significant of evidence. “According to “OpenStax (2013), evolution is therefore a track of thought, impression or perception that seeks to explain the processes operating once pre-living entities acquired certain properties (p. 490).” Natural selection was identified by Charles Darwin as the primary force behind evolution. Other forces may include genetic drift, and mutations. It is also important to note that evolution has two distinct phases. That is microevolution and macroevolution. The purpose of the paper is not to approve or disapprove the concept of evolution but to examine the track thoughts of Charles Darwin and other researchers in this field. …show more content…
Comparing the structure of the appendages of human, dog, bird, and whale indicate what is found today is the result of changes as the species at one time had to evolve separately however maintaining the original layout (p.487). Also important is the convergence of form exhibited by the organism sharing similar environment. For instance, chameleon and frogs in the equatorial forest show phenotypes that blend with the green color of leaves. However, this is not because they all share a common ancestor, but a away to hide from
