The tradition, culture and sport that starts with a parade eventually resulting of a bull's death has sparked controversy through the years due to physical dangers of manadors along with animal abuse etc. Despite the many protests against or for bullfighting why hasn't the controversies die in peace?

Bullfighting is slowly decreasing in popularity as cities ban bullfighting due to animal cruelty. For example Barcelona declared an anti-bullfighting city and to be more specific the last bullring in Barcelona closed in 2006 due to poor attendance and crowds. Bullfighting has even been removed from christian religion and charity. “ These cruel and base spectacles of the devil and not the man” declared Pope St.Pius V. Bullfighting claims to be a man fighting a force stronger than a man, however that is not true. A bull goes through a pre-fight treatment two days before for bloody fight. First , the bull is kept in a dark stall with no water this alone has many effects on the animal. Next wet paper is lodged into the bull’s ears to impair its hearing but that’s not the only thing taken away from the bull. They also take vaseline and rub the serum into the bull’s eye partly blinding the bull’s vision along with cotton shoved up the bulls nostrils to also impair breathing. Sadly, that’s not the end of the pre-fight treatment, it also involves the sticking of a needle in the bull’s genitals which release a drug for unsteadiness and the inability to sit down. Now, in the beginning of bullfights the bull is released into a bright arena also in every bullfight the bull runs around looking distraught
