A sect is a kind of religious group that is differentiate itself from a larger group by following a different path and principles. In the Christianity-church concept, sects are defined newly established groups that has a structure includes protest elements of its main religion. The sect is a subjective topic that changes based on time, location and religion. For example, Catholics may refer to the Protestants as sect, on the other hand the Orthodox church is a sect in the point of view of Protestants.So, it may claimed that one person’s religion is a sect for another person.For Islam, Sunnis and Shias are sects according to each other and it causes conflicts, even fights and wars.

Cults can gather some factor from other religions, but are more likely to have different beliefs, often based on the founders’ personality.
Alienation idea, the intense and exquisite recruiting techniques and the charismatic leader are three main elements of cults. The cults mostly use social isolation and pressure, humiliation, paranoia and fear, high level commitment as convincing tools.
The leader with strong and charismatic personality is the main core of cults.These leaders convince members and potential members to follow them and obey their all requests.
