First and foremost, we shall blame Juliet’s parents for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet. One example that can help prove this is in Document B in which Lady Capulet talks to Juliet about marrying Paris. In Document B, Lady Capulet says, “The night you shall behold him at our feast”. This quote demonstrates how Lord and Lady Capulet want her to meet Paris so that they can see each other, but instead, she encounters Romeo. If they didn’t have a huge, extravagant party, then Romeo
Romeo and Juliet died for love, but there was someone else who “pushed” them to that fate of death. There are numerous characters that could be at fault and blamed for the tragic deaths of Romeo and Juliet. The one who is most to blame, however, is Lord Capulet. Lord Capulet had a lot to do with Romeo and Juliet’s deaths because he was forcing Juliet to marry someone she hardly knew let alone loved. He was working on moving the wedding sooner because of Tybalt’s death, but he also gave up on his daughter when everyone thought she was dead.
In my mind this gives me every reason to believe the death of Romeo and Juliet is a result of the hatred between their families and the tension of their love to keep it secret. Another main character that I thought played a huge role in the deaths in Romeo and Juliet is Mr. Capulet (Juliet's father). In Document D Mr. Capulet says “But fettle your fine joint’s ‘gainst Thursday next, To go with Paris to Saint Peter’s Church, Or I will drag thee on a hurdle thither” DBQ Project: Romeo and Juliet Who’s to blame Document D. In my opinion Mr. Capulet is the reason Juliet later fakes her death to get out of the marriage between her and Paris.
There are many reasons why Romeo and Juliet killed themselves, Two factors caused Romeo Juliet’s death were Friar Lawrence and the family feud that was going on between the Capulets and the Montagues. Both had impacted Juliet and Romeo into thinking that killing themselves was the only way to get out of their problems and the secrets that had been made. Friar Lawrence made many mistakes in trying to keep Romeo and Juliet's marriage a secret and by getting Juliet out of her soon to be marriage to Paris. He created a chain of secrets starting with him agreeing to marry Romeo and Juliet.
This evidence clearly proves that Juliet was immature and she was in love with Romeo so badly that she didn’t care enough about her family. Another reason why Juliet is to blame for Romeo and Juliet’s death is because she agreed to fake her death instead of running away with

There are multiple examples of the adults in the book Romeo and Juliet being bad examples. Capulet is one of the characters in the play that is a bad example for the kids. You see this in the book when he told Juliet he has to marry paris. Juliet told him how she felt about marrying Paris and said how she likes Romeo more.
While Romeo and Juliet physically committed the acts that ended their own lives, Romeo should be blamed for their death and not Juliet. Although it may be reasoned that Romeo and Juliet’s relationship was destine to fail, this is not the case. If it were not for Romeo there was definitely a possibility that the marriage could have worked. Romeo pushed into relations with Juliet, murdered Tybalt and got banished, refused advice about Juliet from important elders, and most importantly poisoned himself impatiently and irrationally. Overall, all of these factors played a part in making both spouses die inevitably.
Romeo and Juliet is a story that was written to show what family feuds can turn into. So when asked who was to blame for the death of Romeo and Juliet I could not give a straight answer and here's why there were many factors involving the deaths of both Romeo and Juliet including Juliet's parents Capulet, Lady Capulet, Friar Lawrence, Mercutio, and Tybalt. Some roles were bigger than others, but all ultimately led to the tragic ending for the two lovers. Juliet's parents were not as supporting of her as they should have been.

The story of Romeo and Juliet is a popular narrative, but have you ever wondered what eventually led to their deaths or what set off the series of events that led to their deaths? Love unites Romeo and Juliet. Romeo fell in love when he first saw Juliet, and she felt the same way about him. Their families were a significant factor for keeping them away, and the fact that they were not star-crossed lovers kept them apart, yet they would not give up. “This form of conflict affects today’s ' society where many people experience inner conflict because of their struggles or belief”, In Act II Scene II Juliet goes in and out of her balcony three times which highlights that she is “unsure where her loyalty lies” - with her family, or Romeo, who is the enemy of the Capulet family but is her love (UK, 2013). Without Juliet revaluating her situation and contemplating the consequences that might occur the story would lose the dramatic tension that has been built up over the last two acts. The structure is a major part in the build-up of conflict; it highlights conflict taking place in the beginning, middle and end. The outset of the play contains physical violence and the threat conflict from the Prince and eventually leads to Mercutio’s death.
