The protagonist of a literary work is often viewed as a remarkable person with distinctive qualities. These Qualities make the character admirable in the novel. The novel to kill a mockingbird by Harper Lee, illustrate the protagonist as a role model. Atticus has many values, morals and set examples for his children. Atticus Finch is portrayed to be a good father, not racist, and courageous. Atticus finch has showed to be a good parent to his two kids Jem and scout throughout the novel. He shows the children life lesson and important values. ”you just hold your head high and keep those fists down no matter what anybody says to you don’t you let em get your goat” (lee 101). Atticus is portrayed without prejudice or racial hatred. “Calpurnia not leaving this house until she wants to you may think otherwise, but I couldn’t have got along without her all these years.
