Romeo and Juliet- a play written by William Shakespeare- results in a pair of star-crossed lovers making a rash decision to end their own lives in the name of the love they had for each other. Romeo and Juliet made an unworthy decision to take their lives and end it all. Some say it was destiny that brought them to this point, but it was a series of bad choices that brought them to the terrible point of death. The first bad decision that the Shakespeare characters made is their rush to get married. They do not know each other well at this point, but they know that they are in deep love for each other, that is why they secretly get married without informing their parents or the public. Juliet may feel the same was when she states: Well, do not swear. “Although I joy in thee, I have no joy of this contract tonight. It is too rash, too unadvised, too sudden; too like the lightning, which doth cease to be” (Shakespeare 407). The following bad decision leads Romeo to killing his loves cousin, Tybalt. This choice causes Romeo to be banished out of the city of Verona. This leads to the tragedy that will happen later in the play. When Romeo causes his banishment it later leads to his death as he speaks the words: “This shall determine that,” and proceeds to fight Tybalt (Shakespeare 429). …show more content…

Juliet starts off by faking her death, so she wouldn’t have to marry Paris- another one of Shakespeare’s many characters. Finding about the news, Romeo visits the tomb of where his beloved Juliet is lying. Romeo than drinks the poison from the apothecary- whereafter Juliet wakes up finding her Romeo dead; and than chooses to stab her heady heart to be with young Romeo forever.
