Romeo and Juliet are two young teenagers who are struck with death as they fall deeper in love. Romeo and Juliet is a play written by William Shakespeare. Romeo and Juliet meet each other at a party and fall in love. They get married in secret a day after they meet. Romeo kills Tybalt and gets banished from Verona. Juliet then fakes her death so she doesn’t have to be in an arranged marriage with Paris. Romeo finds Juliet and thinks that she’s actually dead so he kills himself. Juliet wakes up to Romeo’s dead body and kills herself too. A lot of people can be the cause for Romeo’s and Juliet’s death but the most important people are Romeo and Friar Lawrence. Friar Lawrence doesn’t worry about others, only himself. He ran away from the tomb when Juliet needed him to stop her from killing herself. He also never told Friar John the importance of the letter that he was suppose to give Romeo. Friar Lawrence never really thinks about the outcome of plans that he gives to other people, only when it involves him then he makes sure that the outcome would be better. By being careless, Friar helped Romeo and Juliet to even be together. Friar married them because he hoped it would help end the feud going between the families. He lied to the Capulets at Juliet’s death by not confessing that he gave her a potion and that she wasn’t really dead. The whole time Friar Lawrence should have been a responsible adult and told the young teenagers that what they were doing wasn’t safe. When Romeo confronts Friar about Romeo’s marriage to Juliet, Friar Lawrence hopefully states, “For this alliance may so happy prove/ To turn your households rancor to pure love” meaning that if Friar marries Romeo and Juliet, the family feud might end with all of the hate and rejoice with love instead. Friar Lawrence wasn’t acting like an adult which made Friar’s plan to make everything go wrong. Friar gave Juliet the poison which could make Juliet actually die, wake up in the tomb or actually kill herself. The important note regarding the whole plan never went to
