In “The Tragedy Of Julius Caesar”, by William Shakespeare, Brutus stands as the hero. It is evident that Brutus is a hero because he did what was right for Rome and would do everything and anything for his city and the people. Brutus is considered a hero because he killed Caesar knowing it was ultimately the best action for Rome. In Act Two: Scene One, Brutus states, “And therefore think him as a serpent’s egg, Which, hatched, would as his kind grow mischievous, And kill him in the shell.” Before letting Caesar and his ambition take over, Brutus had to take action.
