Everyone makes mistakes in life. Some, more major than others. In the play The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet, the mistakes made by Romeo caused the tragedy. Romeo was a well spoken, but kind of shy person. He thought he found love at first sight when he met Juliet at a party, but he went too fast.
All teenage boys make very rash and bad decisions when under a lot of pressure that will eventually get them into trouble. In William Shakespeare's play Romeo and Juliet the main protagonist Romeo is in one of those situations, only the stakes are much higher and instead of getting in trouble the end result is the worst punishment possible... Death for him and his lover Juliet. Romeo is solely responsible for the death of himself and Juliet due to his immaturity fickleness and rash decisions. One of the many reasons that show Romeos lack of maturity and also his bad decision making is when he is talking to Friar Lawrence.
Adolescent brains and young love are the most to blame for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet, ultimately leading to their demise. Even though it may seem like the rivalry between the families was the leading cause of their death, it was rather a small piece to a cornucopia of issues for these star-crossed lovers. Identifying the ages of maturity levels in Romeo and Juliet is a significant element in the story that can help us understand important themes and morals of the story. Romeo and Juliet are still children, as stated by the drama. And children are generally incapable of viewing things from the perspectives of others.
The majority of people find relationships between young teenagers a nuisance, but few would ever consider them fatal. Unfortunately, this is exactly what happens in Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare. Many forget, however, that this play is a tragedy, and does not star role model characters. The characters Romeo and Juliet have their share of fatal flaws that gives Romeo and Juliet its tragic and infamous ending. Their flaws at first lie dormant, but erupt when the two children meet each other and proclaim their love for eachother.
Immaturity can spread throughout things and people creating problems for the present and future. Similarly, Romeo and Juliet not only shows the development of love, but the development of immaturity that leads to the story being tragic. Often humans develop to become mature, but the totalness of immaturity in this story, makes the process go backwards. From Romeo and Juliet’s fast evolving relationship to the hate between the two family’s, the ignorance of thought in different characters is portrayed well in the story. Therefore, the theme of this sad story is to think more diligently and reasonably before taking action, and overall grow from the past.

In Romeo and Juliet, written by William Shakespeare, Romeo makes many mistakes as part of his tragic flaw. Throughout the play, Romeo shows impatience time and time again. He shows how impatient he is in acts I and II, III, and V. In act I and II, Romeo is impatient with love.
Emotions Rather than Intelligence “To be old and wise, you must first be young and stupid. ”(Unknown). Romeo and Juliet lose their young lives due to youth and inexperience. They were rash and reckless when it came to their actions which led to their sad ending. For instance, if they listened to the adults and recognized what could result from their love, they could have had a happier ending.

We all make bad decisions everyday. For example, watching TV when you have a bunch of homework to do, or playing video games all day instead of going outside to play. Now even though these are bad decisions, they don’t really seem to affect us long term. In the play, Romeo and Juliet, so many bad decisions are made that it leads to the death of two young teenagers that are in love, even though their families are bitter enemies. Throughout the play, their decisions keep getting worse and worse.
We know this is true through Tybalt’s separation of his “kin” and Romeo’s “kin.” Both are citizens of the same city, and are indistinguishable in all ways except for name. Despite this, Tybalt is adamant that the “stock and honor” of his group is fundamentally against Romeo’s group. The use of the word honor shows that it is a matter of identity and self-respect to Tybalt; he is honor-bound to hate
The maturity standpoint of Romeo and Juliet throughout the play Everyone can have a different level of maturity, especially when they are young. Usually, younger people tend to be less mature. When growing up, people perceive others as being more mature because they’re older. Maturity is perceived on many different levels.

Those who rush stumble and fall,” This theme of thinking before you act and before you speak are both revalent themes in Romeo and Juliet. In Romeo and Juliet written by William Shakespeare, the characters of Romeo and Juliet teach the readers three important lessons in their tragic love story. These characters show the importance to communicate effectively, thinking before an action, and understanding that all actions have consequences.
The misunderstanding and disobedience that occurs in the play due to their reluctance to understand each other causes many conflicts and disorientation between the core character of the play. For example, in the end of the play, Friar Lawrence admits his wrongdoing and utters "Miscarried by my fault, let my old life / Be sacrificed, some hour before his time, / Unto the rigor of severest law." (5.6. 267-269).

Paradox plays a huge part of making certain characters looking more sophisticated. It makes them look smarter in a way as well as makes you questionable of whether they are as smart. William Shakespeare has a very interesting way of making the characters seem very sophisticated during the play “Romeo and Juliet”. Shakespeare uses juxtaposition as indirect characterization to create a lot of ironic complexity in the characters. Juliet deliberately marries romeo in a foolish way, throughout this play Juliet continues to show how dumb she is in a way because she doesn’t really think about what she is doing like she doesn’t consider the consequences at all.
