In this astonishing play it shows the audience about the struggles of two teenage kids falling deeply in love but the two lovers are not allowed to be together because of the unknown rivalry between the two families; Capulet and Montague. The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet is a play that was written by William Shakespeare in the 16th century who got the concept of writing the tragic love story from Arthur's Brookes story called, The Tragicall Historye of Romeo and Juliet which was released in 1562. In act 5 Scene 3 the Prince mentions,
Their course of love, the tiding of her death;
And here he writes that he did buy a poison
Of a poor `pothecary, and therewithal
Came to this vault to die and lie with Juliet(5. 3. 286-295).
This scene gives the reader a sign that a tragedy has just appeared because of the way he describes “their course of love” in the play. Therefore, in Romeo and Juliet the play gives a tragedy to the readers about their love in order to give the readers emotion and feel sympathy for the characters.
A soliloquy is a speech given by a character alone on stage, and in The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet soliloquies in this play usually have the characters openly talking about their feelings and opinions. In act 3 scene 2 Juliet waits patiently in the night she speaks,
Come, gentle night; come, loving, black-browed night;
Give me my romeo; and, when he shall die, take him and cut him out in little stars,
