Hello Dr. Pressey, That is a great analogy on the auto-correct feature as compared to tech toys. (Yes, I definitely know of Howard Cossell ). Your “NAW” example would have definitely been frustrating for me – since the acronym had little or no relevance to the request. When going into the field of an Early Childhood Educator there are different values that one should have. In my opinion Early Childhood Educators should have foundation skills of how children learn, should know how to support diverse knowledge, should be able to model the correct language, should have classroom management skills, and should be able to create a safe environment for all children. According to the NAEYC core values Early Childhood Educators should base work on knowledge of how children develop and learn, which goes with my first opinion with Early Childhood educators having the foundation skills of how children learn. NAEYC core values also states that recognize that children are best understood and supported and

The NAEYC was created when educators saw the need to help educators in the lower income areas, meet the growing challenges with moral implications that arose in their work with children birth through age 8. Educators in the early childhood education programs are different than any other form of child care because they have

TASK 1.1 Analyse the functions of external quality assurance assessment in learning and development. External quality assurance (EQA) assessment in learning and development plays a pivotal role in ensuring that educational standards are upheld, qualifications are valid and reliable, and learners receive fair and consistent assessments. The hope is that EQA ensures the integrity and effectiveness of assessment in learning and development processes (EdUK, 2017) (Gravells, 2021). Any training provider that meets the requirements of the AO may become an Approved Centre

NAEYC argued for salaries and benefits to be linked to qualifications and responsibilities. In 1999, Child and Youth Care forum published a series of articles in a symposium on the professionalization of the early childhood care through developing a positive relationship between professional development and the status and salaries of the childcare staff. The need for improved child outcomes, quality programs, and teacher qualifications has continued to frame the discussion around professional status. The improved wages for childcare staff was still missing from major initiatives. Unless, childcare staff wages were included in all the initatives, the efforts to improve program quality and child outcomes would be very
