Racial Discrimination in the Workforce
The color of a person’s skin continues to determines the stereotypical idea of the ability of one’s work ethic and how one should be treated in the workforce. The unfortunate truth is that people of color are and continue to be minorities in the workforce. Being targeted in the workforce comes in a variety of ways, such as stereotypes causing a pay gap between particular races. Racial profiling in the form of targeting a person for their moral beliefs, religion and overall skin color and gender. Also, another form of racial discrimination that unfortunately happens in the workforce is racial harassment, mostly targeting women of color or distinct races.
