There are plenty of ways to be successful in Jr high. Some ways I am successful in Jr high are sports, football, basketball, and track One way I am successful is football. I am successful in football because I was a 1st string running back. I am fast so I could get away from people easily. I am strong so I can lower my shoulder to get more yards.

Essay One: The Dispossessed by Ursula K. LeGuin The extent that grades have on hindering the ability to learn is discussed in Ursula K. LeGuin’s The Dispossessed, in which Shevek a college professor is troubled by the importance placed on the grading system as a mark of understanding of a subject at the university he recently started teaching at. One of the first points to be made is that understanding what you were taught isn’t the point of schools anymore, it’s about memorizing the information for a test or assignment. Second, is that achieving high marks in school doesn’t always equate intelligence or lack of it . Lastly, it’s not how well one is able to memorize what they are taught, but how they’re able to take that information, process and apply it to real world problems that shows the extent of one’s true education.
So when I get in high school I will have to do what it takes to be successful.
In order to do well in those classes I would need to do well behavior and do all of the work and be organized. I'm using the habit of doing my work. The classes I still need to do well in is cultural geography, and English 9 . In order to improve in those classes I would need to do go afterschool and do the work second, I would need to have great behavior.
The classes I am doing well in are all but I know I can do better. Like I have A's that are minus or simply an A but it all sum up to something that I don't like at all. That is averaging my grade less than a 4.0 that I'm not quite used to getting.
The reason why I am academically successful in high school comes down to my work ethic. I personally believe that as long as a student works hard in high school, they can get good grades. I have friends who do not work as hard as they could and it reflects in their grades. Not to say that they have bad grades because they do not, but, if they put more effort into school they could have significantly higher GPA 's. However, work ethic, while important, is not they only necessary trait to be successful in college.
Some people who I researched would be accepted in this school. Even though West Hancock has a lot of bright individuals, the other portion of students are awfully rude. Teenagers not only judge others by their appearance but also criticize others by their personality, and if a poor child with tree bark skin came to our school, nobody would accept him. The world’s tallest man, after looking over all the cases that I have researched, has the highest chance of being accepted in our high school. People that pick on others might be afraid to mess with him due to his height, his feet, and his hands.
Making some friends might be difficult, but if you just be yourself you won 't have a tough time making friends. Having a social life is an important aspect in having a good time throughout high school. The most important thing about high school is getting a good education. Focusing on your academics will make you a successful student. Last but not least is have fun during high school.
Hard work triumphs over talent; I learned this in eleventh grade. I struggled to pass my mathematics class; I averaged a C- in basically every math class I took. I believed that I would always struggle in math; I saw no light at the end of my tunnel for my peril. I was adamant about not taking calculus, because I believed that I would fail that class. I refused to sign up for that class, but after many circumstances, I finally enrolled in calculus, just one month late.
Overcoming failure is something I have had to do my entire life. It became especially relevant when I began my high school career. In my eight grade year I was diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. Previously I had heard in the news that there was a surge in diagnoses over the previous couple years, and I paid little attention to it. However it became apparent it was an issue when I started having issues paying attention in class and began to struggle with my grades.
First, when I entered the middle school I got shy and my academics skills increased. I think I increased my academic skills by having not having much friends and them not being in my classes. So I didn’t have no distractions I just focused on school. I also played more sports such as basketball and football. I did well in school to make my mom proud, I got honor roll three times that year then after sixth grade ended I realized my academics were not to make my mom proud it was to make me feel proud of myself.
To do these things, first,I may change my personal behavior or choices, like be more discipline, and think about what I’m good at, be more organize. Second thing to know what my priority is what I enjoy the most. My priorities are my education, and work hard, these are my priorities, I know if I do these things I can be successful. According to friend in my senior year in high school she said to me congratulation! then she said you made the first step, but you have more to go and they would be hard, i knew that day,if I want to succeed I have to get ready for them.
Practice time-management The secret to gain academic success is knowing how to control priorities. For example: if you are having
One main conflict or obstacle I have dealt with throughout high school is self-confidence and not caring what other people think of me- not letting them control my happiness. This has been a struggle throughout high school. I think it all started freshman year when I went to a school where a lot of people knew people. I never really felt like I belonged. Everyone looked so much older than me and I didn’t feel like I really fit in.
