1.There are many approaches for working with children learning a second language.

Which approach do you believe works best? Tasked based learning. This is a more naturalistic approach to learning a language compared to those who teach children grammar rules and syntax. Children interact in their home language in real everyday situations. Teachers help with this by encouraging children to take part in tasks. A great time for children to do this is during role playing they can take part in tasks and practice their new language There is also what you call a pedagogical task. In this case a teacher encourages a student to understand their language and a activity or action is the direct result. For Example

Developmental Stage I choose five years olds There are many language developmental milestones that are found in a five year old.

Some examples are : 1) use bigger words and more complete sentences then in years past

2) spell and define simple words 3)alternate in verbal conversation 4) forms clear ideas

and begins to express those ideas clearly. 5) asks and answers questions in order to obtain

milestones that are establish by a five year old , understand language acquisition , and then

support their language development. There are three ways in which we can help a child to

acquire a language in class in a natural way. 1) enrich a child’s verbal language through oral

readings. Children will be able to learn the building blocks of words, the English sentence
