The account manager position is highly dependent on creating and maintaining strong relationships. From managing sales reps, to direct selling with growers, building relationships and knowing how to communicate with different personalities is key to success. I believe I am qualified for this position for those exact reasons. I currently manage over 80 growers within a 150 mile area, where creating and maintaining strong relationships is part of my daily job. Over the past three years those relationships have grown into close bonds where growers feel free to contact me at any time and about any subject. One of the first things I sell to a customer is myself. They need to have confidence in me that I will work hard and help them produce a crop that will create a profit for their operation. I then sell the grower on the production contract, along with its advantages and stipulations. The last selling point I make with new customers is revolves around the Pioneer brand. Not only do we have great genetics, but we have a vast network of incredibly intelligent people working with us every day.
