1.) Explain the purpose of control techniques.
The main purpose of control techniues is to make sure that when you are doing research you have to treat each groups you are doing the research on the same way during the conduct of the experiment but importanly is designed to measure specific aspects about the performances of the participants, and its processes.

2.) Explain why random assignment is the best control technique for equating groups. Random assignment is to make sure that every participant has an opportunity and chance of being placed in any group. It also helps to ensure that any differences either between or within the groups are not systematic at the outset of the experiment. Random assignment is the best because each participants are randomly assigned to different groups without knowning, either on the experimental group, or treatment group. Random assignment also make sure that participants in a cause and effect study are unbiased.

3.) List the major control techniques that are carried out during the experiment. The major control techniques that carried out during the experiment are randomized counterbalancing ,order effect, complete counterbalancing, incomplete counterbalancing, …show more content…

Participant are usually controlllled by folowing these steps: "Standardization of procedures and instructions (Ensures that in every step of the experiment procedure all participants are treated in the same way) Single blind procedure (the participants may know about the goal of the experiment, but do not know which group they are in) Double blind procedure (Neither the experimenter and the participant knows who is in each condition/group) Deception (Providing all participants a rational for the experiment that is unrelated to the true its true
