Teenagers love money. However, the problem with earning money is that kids are too busy to get a job. Or a job is not enough money for their needs, especially in this changing economy. Jeffrey Selingo, in his piece “Why More Teenagers and College Students Need to Work While in School,” argues that more kids should work while pursuing their education. He expresses the importance of finding time for a job, and that making money is not the only thing teenagers gain from a job.
Should teens and college students work during school? There have been countless arguments based on this topic and there is not a clear answer. However, Jeffrey J. Selingo confidently supports and claims that teens and college students should work during school. He uses several strong examples of ethos, pathos, and logos throughout his essay “Why more Teenagers and College students need to work while in school.” Selingo uses ethos several times and effectively persuades the audience with a powerful sense of trust.
Of course, there are some instances where people get paid minimum wage to do very difficult jobs that they should be making much more at, but for the most part the minimum wage is a useful guideline for companies to refer to when setting their wages. The article,”Teenagers’ Work Can Have Downsides” written by Jerald G. Bachman, discusses many advantages and disadvantages of working as a teenager. Although, Bachman has good reasonings for both sides, teenagers should be able work. There are good outcomes that come from teenagers having a job, they can learn many useful skills that they can use in the future. They could be saving up money to help pay for college. Having a job can help students become more responsible.

College students have a great amount of activities going on in their life: work, homework, exams, family, friends, and sports. Parents can help push their kid to be the best they are capable of being, sometimes everyone needs a push in life to get the wheels turning the right direction. Adults are more likely to be unemployed because of physical and mental health challenges. Adults also tend to be unemployed because of cyclical, structural and frictional unemployment. Unemployment also goes into hand with homelessness and panhandling, because there is not enough jobs people are ending up homeless and looking for other ways to get money. Why are youth more likely to be unemployed than adults, and is unemployment among youth becoming a social problem?
Introduction Unemployment is knows to bring many negative impact on subjective well-beings. High rates of unemployment not only caused negative effect on national economy but also greatly affect living standard of people, especially youths. Due to youth 's inexperience and lack of knowledge, many employers refuse to hire them as hiring youths only brings no benefits to employers. This is so as employers have to spend time, energy or even money to train youths before they can cope with their own job.
