Education is one of the essentials for a society. However, there are many reasons which might prevent people from study or even complete their higher education. One of these reasons is scarcity of education due to poverty. However. In the last decade, massive open online courses (MOOC) platforms, such as Future Learn, EdX and Courses, have changed the access to the education. MOOC is several different free courses are offered by university to make education more accessible to large number of people. Theses open learning platforms might have many pros. The reason is a lack of internet access. According to bates (2012), developing countries, such as South Africa, could encounter difficulties internet access and thus might not be benefit from MOOCs. In a study by Christensen et al (2013), they found the participants in MOOCs, In particular Courses, were well educated and employed. Regarding the reasons for enrolling in Courses: curiosity and advancing in work. They found the majority of MOOCs students from developed countries, which are likely tend to enroll in Courses for advancing in their job. With respect to participants from developing courtiers, they were a lot less than developing countries students and most of them were likely to take MOOCs courses for satisfying their curiosity. Similarity, 138,000 students who enrolled in edX in United State in 2012-2013 academic year, much more than the number of students in Africa and Latin America at 33,000 and 32,000 respectively (EdX, 2013).
