A MOOC is a Massive Open Online Course that helps prepare college students for college. The article “ The Year of the MOOC” by Laura Pappano. It is about an online course that helps students be prepare students in the subjects they need help in. It is like an online tutor that is free. The article “ I Couldn’t Imagine wanting to Dye my Hair Blond ” by Christina Mendoza. Mendoza was always bullied by other students because of the way she looked, her mom was “Caucasian who grew up in California” and her father was “ a Mexican American” who grew up in San Antonio. So while all of her classmates that were Czech and had blue eyes and blond hair, while she had chocolate hair and espresso eyes. So she was classified as different and got bullied and soon realized that diversity makes the world go round but deep down she is still hurt and can have a major negative outburst.
