According to the Colombian Public Prosecutor's Offices, “the FARC are not terrorist or narcos”. The FARC history started in the 1960s to overthrow the Colombian government and seize control of the country; a group of farmers based on Marxism-Leninist statements. By the 1990s, however, the dynamic of the conflict suffered important changes. One main factor was the political influence of the drug trade, as paramilitary and guerrilla forces financed by drug traffickers attacked leftist organizations throughout the country, also, drug money corrupted many politicians. Meanwhile, at the same time, in the United States Mafia was about to end, but the ideals and all the business rules not. So, comparing these two illegal groups, Mafia’s slogan “it's just business” is exceeded by today's FARC resulting in a narco-guerrilla.

Meanwhile, FARC has killed millions of innocent people to maintain their business or to impose their government, this doesn’t mean that the act of killing is justified by their businesses.
