In Blake Hurst’s “The Omnivore’s Delusion: Against the Agri-Intellectuals,” he opposes the accusations made by tofu-eating, recycled-toilet-paper-using, self-starving Michael Pollan and his followers. Throughout “The Omnivore’s Delusion…,” Hurst mentions how methods of farming have evolved to match demands of produce. The author states that “Only ‘Industrial farming’ can possibly meet the demands of an increasing population and increased demand for food as a result of growing incomes” (Hurst 4). This quote essentially means that “Industrial Farming” is the most efficient way to farm for today’s population level. A second point that is made by Hurst is that changes made by today’s farming are necessary.

After all some people may pick Industrial food chain because it cheaper and it quickly made .There are many health problem cause by eating Industrial food chain. Which medical checkup cost a lot. Also people may chose Industrial organic cause it say organic what people do not know is that the chicken are feed other animal waste. As well as some people pick hunter gather it not a good choice because you don 't know where the animal been and if it has a disease. I believe that local sustainable is the best choice for me and my family.
What are the alternatives? There are very few alternatives to factory farming; however, finding them would be beneficial to us. One of the hardest to accomplish would be altogether removing factory farms and returning them to family farms as it was before. This would be a much healthier and beneficial route to fix the problem. The next is In-Vitro meat which is cultured meat.

Some of the good aspects that characterize in vitro meat as the best solution include the low cost of the production, its healthier, and the fact that it requires less real estate. Due to the bad economic status of most people, they always tend to choose the cheaper option. And since the population of the world is increasing, the demand on meat will increase as well, hence increasing its cost.
I know a lot of people don 't know how to farm nor do they want to. But a lot of people forget on caring about where and how they got their produce as long as it is on the market for them to feed themselves or their families. What they don 't know is more and more these days the animals are living in horrible factories their whole lives. Which means they aren 't being treated wrong. They are neglected with the proper food and are being drugged with medications like steroids.
Costs of vegetable production are much higher than costs of production of meats. That is logical, that owners of plant farms lose more money, than animal producers. And if it is a “state-run company“ it directly harms the whole country’s economy. Also plants take much more amount of land, because plants need more free space to grow properly with all those garden beds and empty spaces for proper growing . And outcome amount of “green“ products from the area is smaller than amount of meat from the same area, including the cheaper price of meat production.
There are markets available that have accessories for cows, chickens etc. Animals have a right to kind treatment and equal rights. There are other ways to give animals respect, factory farming is not the only solution to produce a large amount of meat. If people cared about animal welfare they would visit small farms and local butchers or raise meat themselves. In the olden days, people raised animals and had cheese, milk, and meat.
