From cell phones to computers, using technology for work, entertainment, and more, technology dominates almost everyone's lives. Overuse of technology can affect our emotions. In Fahrenheit 451, Bradbury warns against technology and human emotions and offers hope through books, but the Bible says to trust in the Lord with one’s heart and lean not on human understanding. Fahrenheit 451 warns against the overuse of technology. A great example of overuse of technology is in a dystopian world like Fahrenheit 451. Let’s look at some examples. This shows how Montag is realizing how their society is messed up. He realizes that people need to have a little conflict in their lives, as they cannot just live in a utopian universe and let people block their emotions out as people are starting to go numb. Faber also says, “If you hide your ignorance, no one will hit you, and you’ll never learn” (Bradbury 113). Faber is showing Montag how he was a coward, and he should have stood up to the government. Faber is right in this quote, giving the readers more hope in humanity in Fahrenheit 451, as he is also admitting to his mistakes of being a coward and taking ownership. He is reflecting on something in the past that could have had an impact on their society today. Let’s look at how there is hope in the Bible. The Bible says we should put our hope in
