Who loves fast food? Who eats it because it is convenient and is a fulfillment to your personal cravings? I know I am guilty for it and I am sure I am not the only one either. Your mind might change after reading Fast Food Nation: The Dark Side of All American Meal. The main reason and purpose of this book was written in attempt to us Americans to see the “Dark Side” of the fast food industry. Throughout the book professor of nutrition science Eric Schlosser tries to explain and point out that fast food is a key force that is impacting almost nearly every aspect in America within our health, politics, economy, and the society we live in today.
The significant theme represented in this book is based on the health and production of the fast food industry and how it has rapidly evolved over time. The main controversy that is being presented in this book is what people want to believe and what they choose not to believe about fast food consumption and production. Not everyone reading this book is going to have the same approach or outcome from it. Everyone is going to have different opinions positive or negative and whether they come out learning something from it or not.

Anyone who read this book could easily agree that a variety of opinions could come out of it positive or negative. It could be whether you believe what he has to say or could be completely opposed to it. Schlosser did a really good job of organizing the book making it easy to read. I really liked that he incorporated short stories and scenarios throughout the book with people verses just giving the basics and information. Although the author might have been bias at times he did a good job supporting his opinion on things he did not agree
