Get Audience Attention: According to www.niddk.nih.gov, “Thirty-five percent of Americans are classified having a normal weight so far in 2014, while 35.3% of adults are considered "overweight."
Establish Credibility: In this day and age Americans don’t realize over-working and eating fast food without proper exercise is bad for the brain and the body.
Indicate Purpose and Thesis: Today, I will attempt to persuade you about better living and healthier food choices that may help combat obesity in America.
Preview Main Points: First, I will discuss with you the causes of obesity, Second I will provide the obesity rates in America, and Lastly I will provide you some tips to avoid obesity and stop your bad habits.
Body

I. According to news-medical.net more than 68.8% of all Americans are considered obese and this is why.
Your diet mainly reflects on your habits and sometimes people can create bad habits over time and they don’t end up realizing until they are thrown into the category of obesity.
A. Fast Food : is considered 55% more calorie consuming than most in-home meals. The main reason why this is true is because fast foods are made with a lot of trans fats, sugars, and salts that cause an huge increase the caloric intake which is one of the main reasons America is one of the most obese countries in the world …show more content…

Bad Habits : In my opinion when a person develops a (sweet-tooth) as most people call it or having a urge to eat sweets is the first step in creating bad habits because I know this has happened to everyone in the past were you are supposed to be on a diet but you see a donut shop across the street in your mind you are going to say “well I have been eating well all week so One donut will not kill me.” That moment right there is what I call playing yourself or cheating yourself out of something instead of doing what you know is best. Because I know we all have that second thought in your head that’s going to say don’t eat
